The public’s overwhelming response allowed the program to be expanded to start a Wild Koala Breeding Program. The wild koala population in NSW has been decimated and we are investigating the establishment of three breeding areas, all controlled and genetically managed to ensure the ongoing survival of healthy wild koalas.
Trải nghiệm cú sốc của DJWe have identified an area for the first breeding program and are in final negotiations on obtaining a lease for the area. We are expecting to announce this site in about two weeks.
We are also searching for land suitable for two more breeding sites. If we find suitable locations, we will hold a special meeting of members to ask permission to use the funds raised by the Go Fund Me account, to purchase land which will be held in perpetuity for wild koalas, and wild koala breeding.
